Hoptimist Lambert figure

Bumble and Bimble Figurine. These adorable creatures belong to the species of Hoptimists. The universe of these small wooden figures with funny spring bobble heads was originally conceived in 1968 by Danish cabinetmaker Hans Gustav Ehrenreich, but production was discontinued after only about five years. In 2009, Lotte Steffensen revived the line under a specially created brand called Hoptimist, in the spirit of Ehrenreich: Their round, friendly facial shapes are meant to bring a smile, and their hopping serves as a motivational aid to brighten the day a little. The concept also includes that each Hoptimist, despite its various sizes and material variations, is assembled in a workshop for people with disabilities: “First, we glue felt under the feet, then we attach the spring to the base, and when the head is placed on top and we let go – that’s when they come to life.” Lambert Figurine.
