Holmegaard Laterne Windlicht

Lantern Wind Light. Danish designer Maria Berntsen shapes this candle holder like a gourd. The striking feature is the original leather handle attached on both sides of the neck: it allows the candle holder to stand securely as well as to be hung on branches and hooks (on the terrace or in the living room). The Danish manufacturer Holmegaard produces the candle holder from mouth-blown glass by hand. The wide opening at the belly of the glass candle holders provides easy access to the wicks of the inserted candles or (Maxi) tealights. Holmegaard offers the Lantern Wind Light in various sizes and in either transparent or opal white glass; the largest version is perfect as a floor vase. Awarded the Interior Innovation Award 2014.
