Koppel replaced the usual numbers found on a clock's dial with black dots. This design element can also be seen in many subsequent watch collections by Georg Jensen. It is a good example of the interplay between simplicity and quality, which has been a hallmark of Georg Jensen since its inception.

Designer Henning Koppel epitomized Danish design in the post-war era. He was a leading figure in a movement that combined functionality with high-quality design. Koppel only began designing watches in 1978, expanding this work to include weather instruments and other practical items.
