Product details

With a firm belief in the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich developed the Hoptimists movement in the late 1960s. His goal was to create a figure that serves as a lasting reminder of optimism and positive energy. Although the 60s are often referred to as "The Happy Sixties," they were marked by social unrest. During this time, Ehrenreich's cheerful designs brought joy and hope. Bimble and Bumble, the first Hoptimists, embody a laughing schoolgirl and a watchful boy with a splint on his head. Today, these joyful figures are an integral part of Danish design tradition and spread good cheer worldwide. A smile often leads to another. The wooden Hoptimist represents pure joy of life, optimism, and positive energy. With its natural material and round, harmonious design, it brings joy wherever it appears. Made from FSC®-certified oak, it combines sustainability with a timeless design that brings happiness.
