Since its introduction over 70 years ago, the DUO has epitomized the two-in-one principle: when unlit, the map clearly displays individual countries, and once the LED lighting is turned on, the intricate print makes the physical representation even more visible - featuring detailed topography and three-dimensional elevations. Printed with precision using a 120-line screen printing technique, even the smallest texts are crystal clear and sharp, including details such as railway and shipping routes, as well as cold and warm ocean currents. The result: excellent readability and color fidelity. The sturdy detail: A globe needs a solid base to fully showcase its impact. With the Regent base, the standing model rests on a large, flat-edged stainless steel foot and rotates within a stainless steel meridian. This allows you to engage with our Earth at eye level. By using the new COLUMBUS explorer pen, the school globe is given a digital surface. When you bring the pen tip close to the globe's surface, information about capitals, areas, flags, population numbers, and even life expectancy can be accessed. A total of five different categories can be selected: country information, interesting facts, national anthems, quizzes, and country-specific videos.
