Product details
Tea tree oil is a natural essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Australian tea tree, scientifically known as Melaleuca alternifolia, through steam distillation of the leaves and fine twigs. This evergreen tree belongs to the myrtle family and predominantly grows along the northern coast of the continent. From one ton of leaves, approximately 10 liters of tea tree oil can be obtained. The colorless to yellowish oil has a fresh, spicy-herbaceous scent. Bergland tea tree oil contains 100% pure Australian tea tree oil and meets Australian standards with at least 30% terpinen-4-ol and a maximum of 15% cineole.
