Function meets design – a bowl like a nest

Inspired by the natural function and the security that a bird's nest provides, Michel Boucquillon and his wife Donia Maaoui have created a fruit bowl that is truly special. The hard and shiny material steel contrasts with the round shape of the bowl. The punched texture resembles the bark of trees and branch holes, as the name Barknest suggests. Barknest is a beautiful decorative bowl that draws attention even when empty. The bowl is available in white, black, or silver.

The designer couple Boucquillon & Maaoui has been living in Tuscany since the early 2000s, in one of the most rustic houses in Italy. There, they have created a place of both creativity and tranquility.
