Is it better to have one large mattress or two small ones?
Good day to all We are currently in the process of purchasing a new bed. Now the question arises as to which is better. In theory, it makes more sense to take two "smaller" mattresses instead of a single "big" one. My biggest concern is that this inevitably leaves a 2m gap between the two halves. I am aware of aids such as bed wedges (so-called "love bridges"), but unfortunately I have no experience with them. I honestly cannot imagine that (in restless sleep) the weight of one or two adults can "roll over" it without being swallowed up by the gap. The only reason two mattresses make sense is the slatted frame. Here it makes perfect sense to take two separate ones. And if the headrest is folded up on one side and not on the other, I can see that this would "bend" a large mattress and possibly damage it. I would be happy to hear your experiences and opinions on this subject.
