Alendar:India, Diary for Alma

This book is based on a diary left behind, written from 1977 to 1978, and published in memory of Dino Alendar. Dino, the author, who was 19 years old at the time, embarks on a journey to India in search of the meaning of life and to find peace. He dedicates the diary to his best friend Alma, to whom he frequently addresses his thoughts. Dino allows us to travel alongside him, discovering the most hidden paths and delving into his innermost thoughts, dilemmas, and feelings. He writes: "I want to be frozen, to wake up in another, better, and more beautiful tomorrow, without ideology and religion, in a world where people will be free, where there will be no slaves and classes, and where the words 'Human, how proud it sounds' will shine." Whether it is a travelogue, a philosophy of life, or a love story, it is best to find out for yourself. If a character could be drawn from the memorized material of vagabondism, who resists the transience crowned by false-conventional morality, it would be the figure of Dino, sometimes contemplative, mostly radiant with a rarely seen smile.
