Baby food

WHO recommends that babies be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months because breast milk is best for infants.

This promotes the mommy-baby bond, and the baby gets all the important nutrients and vitamins with breast milk. If breastfeeding is not possible, there are substitute foods. Infant formula is for newborns during the first six months. Follow-on formula can be given from about the fourth month. Breastfeeding should not be started before the fifth month. We recommend contacting a doctor or midwife with any questions about baby feeding.
