The MUMS children's dinnerware series is designed and produced in Denmark. The series includes children's bowls, plates, and cups, aimed at families with children who appreciate simplicity at the dining table while also allowing for playful expression. MUMS is designed for families with children – but primarily for the children themselves. Children are curious and playful from birth, unconcerned with clear lines, aesthetics, and minimalism – which is why there should be room on the dining table for the occasional elephant. In keeping with this theme, the classic elephant "Fanto" from Sebra adorns all pieces in this series.

What is the bioplastic in MUMS made from?

Bioplastics are made from bio-based raw materials, meaning they are derived from plant components. Corn has been used for MUMS.

Why are wood fibers added to MUMS products?

The versatility of plastics is utilized in bioplastics, and by adding wood fibers, the amount of plastic content is reduced. This means a lower CO2 amount compared to a pure bioplastic product or a petrochemical product made from, for example, petroleum or natural gas.

Is new wood cut down to add wood fibers to MUMS?

No, no new trees are felled. The wood fibers used are a byproduct from a larger wood production process.
