In 1924, August Bremicker and his sons achieved a masterstroke in the small town of Volmarstein near Wetter an der Ruhr by launching a groundbreaking padlock: the Iron Rock. At that time, the family began developing and producing locks in the forge located in the basement of their home. They faced strong competition, as there were many such forges in Volmarstein and the surrounding area. However, August Bremicker and his sons were so successful that the company quickly grew, leading to the purchase of the production facility on Hegestrasse in Volmarstein in 1929, which is still in operation today.
