Writing speed? Sorry, but why do you have to ask this? (Digitec/Sandisk has something to hide?)

Helpful answer

The write speed is not (only) hidden by Digitec, even on the manufacturer's page Sandisk does not give any information about it! The reason? The stick is incredibly slow when writing. Here is a test: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel...
There are two graphs in the lower part to compare the speed, the second one shows the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe with a write speed of only 29 MB/s. The test tiger from the same company, Sandisk, does not give any information. The test drive from the same manufacturer, Sandisk (Extreme Pro), has a write speed of 232 MB/s. If I calculate correctly, it would take an incredible 9.5 hours to write to the entire stick (1 TB). For this amount of data, I prefer an external HDD, e.g. the Samsung SSD T7 with a write speed of up to 1000 MB/s.

I also find it extremely annoying that so much data is missing from Digitec's specifications and is often wrong. I have reported incorrect data to them countless times. Countless times. Somehow Digitec seems to be of the wrong opinion that their customers are responsible for complete and above all correct specifications. They outsource it so that the customers do it for Digitec for free.

I tested the part and realised that it gets ultra-hot. I almost burnt my fingers when I unplugged it.
Then I ordered a second one --> Same problem !!! - I don't think this one will last long...

This key is terribly slow when writing... I strongly advise against it

i don't know this stick but in general i can say that it is not very advisable to want to move so much data back and forth on a stick. for large files take an external ssd. unless you want to wait for hours...
