To activate and use VoLTE (Voice over LTE) on the TCL MOVETIME Family Watch MT40X, you should follow the steps below:
1. check VoLTE support
Although the MT40X model is 4G-enabled, not all MT40X watches support VoLTE. It is possible that your model can send data via 4G but does not support VoLTE telephony. Therefore, check the technical data of the watch, the seller or the manufacturer to see whether your device explicitly supports VoLTE. Without VoLTE, telephoning is no longer possible after the 3G switch-off.
2. insert SIM card & check tariffs
Use a nano SIM with an active voice and data tariff. Make sure that your mobile phone provider has activated VoLTE on this SIM card and that your tariff supports it.
3. switch on VoLTE in the watch
If your device supports VoLTE, the activation procedure would be as follows (analogue to other TCL models):
Go to the menu of your watch.
Open "More" and then "Settings".
Search for the "VoLTE" item and activate it.
If no VoLTE menu is displayed, VoLTE is probably not supported.
This is confirmed for the successor models MT42/MT46. For the MT40X, the absence of the menu item may mean that your model is not VoLTE-capable.
