Hello, your watch needs to be able to connect with ANT+, Bluetooth. This belt can connect to 2 devices at the same time. You obviously need a sports watch or a bike GPS. It's compatible with Garmin products and other brands that comply with the connection types mentioned in the article. I myself use it on a Suunto watch.
