digitec connect SIM card for mobile subscription
What about 5G support in the meantime? Now more and more 5G devices are coming onto the market, such as the Samsung S20, and Sunrise's coverage is also improving all the time... Can we assume that Digitec will be able to use Sunrise's 5G this year?
Unfortunately, I still can't give you a date for this. Sunrise is still in the pilot phase and is working on network coverage and, together with the most important manufacturers, on the compatibility of the devices with their frequency range.
Sorry, not Skyhawk but Nighthawk
Unfortunately, 5G devices does not mean being on the move with 5G. I wanted to switch to LTE (4G) internet at home. According to the network coverage map from Sunrise (https://www.sunrise.ch/de...), 4G+ should not be a problem. Far from it. I live in the Männedorf region and have just between 2 and 4 Gbit/s downstream in the house. With the Netgear Skyhawk M1 it gets even more dramatic. No surfing possible. I then tried a directional antenna, no chance of improvement. Now we have cable again. I mean, be careful with 5G functionality, the Sunrise card promises more than it delivers.
