digitec connect SIM card for mobile subscription
Sunrise telephone support says that digitec mobile does run on the Sunrise network, but depending on the network load, with a lower quality (poorer sound quality, poorer data transfer rate, etc.) than the "normal", i.e. more expensive Sunrise subscriptions. Is this true? What does digitec say about this?
Sunrise will say anything to denigrate its cheaper competitors. I haven't noticed any losses yet. Speed could be higher, but so far no provider has delivered the speed they promise, so nothing new;)
That would be network discrimination and is not permissible vis-à-vis third parties such as ourselves. With digitec connect, you have the same network access rights as a Sunrise customer in the event of a congested cell.
It's even the other way round. I have sunrise wifi connect 5g and digitec connect unlimited and at the same location I always have considerably worse speeds with sunrise. It's usually so bad that I use digitec connect mobile hotspot to be able to work from home.
and in fact they are only allowed to do this for their own sub-brands within the company (e.g. Yallo or Aldi). If they were to do this externally for another company, they would have a problem with the Swiss competition authorities... and as we all know, they are not to be trifled with :-D
