Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Intern Multi, 2.5/3.5" SATA, so that I can use these two USB ports, I still need a controller card that can be inserted into the ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore motherboard, which I know has 3 x PCI-E 3.0 x16 (@x16). Which controller card with internal USB ports would be suitable, i.e. compatible. I am also looking for a controller card for additional SATA HDD connections. Thanks in advance for info

Helpful answer

I put my PC together myself. Thanks to a ZAHLMAN GS1000 tower case (probably no longer available) with 6x front bays for 3.5" HD's.
The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Intern Multi, 2.5/3.5" SATA, and a front exchange slot for 4x 2.5" (ideal for SSDs) that I also installed enabled me to use the PC very flexibly.
My motherboard is also from ASUS but it is an older model and I needed an additional older ASUS controller card with 2x internal SATA ports.

About your problem:
I don't know how many internal SATA and USB ports on the motherboard you have already used internally in the PC.
As far as I can see from the manual (pages 1-18 and 1-21) of your board there are:
- 8x SATA for HD's, SSD's or CD/DVD/BluRay's
- 2x USB 3.2 (Gen2) connector, allows you to add a USB 3.2 (Gen2) module for
additional USB 3.2 (Gen2) ports.
- 1x USB 3.2 (Gen1) connector, allows you to connect a USB 3.2 (Gen1) module for
additional USB 3.2 (Gen1) ports.
The USB 3.2 (Gen2) and/or (Gen1) modules must be purchased separately.
Whether they are from ASUS is unfortunately not specified.

By the way:
Why do I have so many removable drawers for the HD's and SSD's? Because I need different configurations depending on how I use my PC, and I often make a 1:1 copy of a HD or SSD before I make any major changes, updates etc.
Examples:
- Start with WIN10 boot SSD incl. programmes, for my everyday use.
- Start with WIN 7 boot SSD incl. older special programmes (from Nikon slide/neg. scanner etc.) with drivers for hardware that no longer provide updates to newer Windows.
- Start with WIN10 boot SSD incl. programmes, for use by guests, etc.
- Start with UBUNTU boot SSD incl. programmes, for special applications and tests.
Depending on the use of the PC, I can easily remove "sensitive" data HD's from the front and am sure that no data loss or "data contamination" can occur.

If the two internal USB 3.0 ports on your board are already in use, you could use something like this:
Delock 89315 PCI Express 2x USB 3.0 LP
Or a "2-port USB 3.0 type A male to 20 pin header male adapter cable" and two of your external USB 3.0 ports into the case and connect them to the USB connector of the Quickport.

For your SATA connection problem you could do something like this:
Delock PCI Express card > 2 x internal SATA 6 Gb/s
Or something like this, as long as both M.2 slots are not occupied, is also available with two SATA connectors:
Delock M.2 to SATA 7Pin Adapter

Oh yes, for internal USB 3.0 there is also an M.2 converter:
Delock M.2 to 2x USB3.0 header

Your mainboard has three PCIe 3.0 x16 and one PCIe 3.0 x4, the suggested cards are PCIe x1, but they should also work in PCIe x16 or PCIe x4. However, you probably have to bear in mind that full occupancy of all PCIe and M.2 slots may not be possible. It is best to study the mainboard manual carefully.

Your mainboard has 8 internal SATA connections. You are not going to build a server with this mainboard?

You have two internal USB ports. If these are occupied, I would not connect the Sharkoon, as you have over 10 USB ports on the mainboard.
