Yes, this is possible according to the data from the desktop!
Before buying my Lenovo, I unscrewed the laptop and checked whether I had the M.2 PCIe slot for WIFI! And it worked for me.
You have two options.
1. unscrew and check whether the M.2 slot with the correct coding "gaps" is also there and the WIFI is not permanently installed, or
