I don't know whether the Linux driver "HP_LaserJet_MFP_M139-M142" is also available under Chrome OS or only a basic functionality via HPLIP. You will hardly find a "complete package" like for Windows and MacOS, you may have to install the scan function via XSane (plus possibly a Wifi driver for it).
After years of using Canon and Brother machines, I was amazed at HP's modest Linux support, even though I prefer to manually install open source drivers myself rather than the packages put together by the manufacturers.

Definitely via WLAN, simply download the HP Smart App from the Google Playstore and log in with your HP account. If you don't have an HP account yet, you can quickly create one.
According to the manufacturer, it is also compatible via USB without the HP Smart App.
