Is the version for XS compatible with version X?
Technically no, but I have both the Iphone X and Xs between my wife and I, and use the cases interchangably.
The physical dimensions of the case are the same, however the camera mount is a very very tiny bit different.
You can interchange cases (I used an Iphone X leather case on my Xs) and it will work, however the camera will not be perfectly centered in the case hole . It's not noticeable though ...
No, the XS cases cannot be used on the X, and X cases cannot be used on the XS. The reason is the slightly larger camera module of the iPhone XS compared to the X.
