Yes, it works with the latest iPad Pro with USB C for just under CHF 1,000. But this only applies to photos and videos. All other files cannot be transferred via USB C. It's just an iPad and not a PC with a file explorer. With Android tablets, you can just throw everything on it. Who thinks what is better is simply a matter of taste. For me as a hobbyist, Apple products are too closed off. But if you like things to be intuitive and simple, Apple is the right choice...
