is it enough to use only the pwr1 8 pin cpu connector and leave the pwr2 4pin empty?

perhaps to add: I use the i7 12700k and have not overclocked it. it did not crash at cinebench under full load. Conclusion the 8 pin should be enough

I have also only connected the 8-pin, which works perfectly. But there are also adapters for a few euros, which I installed for aesthetic reasons.
