I recently ordered the product and tested it today. The first impression was very good. Unfortunately, a big problem has arisen for me. I can't connect my UHD screen from ASUS to my Macbook.

I have the following screen:
ASUS VP28UQGL (28", 3840 x 2160 Pixels).

APPLE MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2019 (16", Intel Core i9, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD)

When I connect the HDMI cable to the dock and to my monitor, I always get the same message that no signal is being received. Surely HDMI should be supported on a UHD monitor? Do I have to install a driver for this?

Unfortunately, I am completely desperate at the moment and am therefore in urgent need of help. Ultimately, I want to use the Macbook for video editing.

In the meantime, I have noticed a new behaviour pattern. When I switch between the 4 Thunderbolt ports and change the port, the brand new Macbook often simply crashes. It restarts without any problems afterwards. However, this worries me a bit...

A guess: The docking station only supports 4k@30 Hz resolution in single mode. You may have to specifically set 4k@30Hz in the MacBook for the second monitor instead of, for example, 4k@60Hz.
