Question about Apple iMac Retina
I need the Mac mainly to process my photo database and edit photos. Is this model suitable for that?
From the display point of view, this is clearly super. A big weakness of this model is the Fusion Drive. It is hardly possible to work with large photo libraries, the Fusion Drive is much too slow. I have solved this by booting from an external SSD. This works fine, but it is an additional investment of about CHF 300 (depending on the SSD).
I don't know what quality your pictures have, but I find the resolution "5120 x 2880 pixels" a bit exaggerated.
Otherwise, I think the PC hardware is fine.
