I have a Thunderbolt display, my question: is it possible to connect the Raspberry PI 2 to the Thunderbolt display with an HDMI to Thunderbolt adapter?
No, unfortunately you can't. Thunderbolt only works in the other direction (PC with TB and monitor with HDMI).
