How long does the scanning process take for a page, from the moment I press start on the PC until the PDF is available?

It depends on the settings you choose - of all the scanners I've worked with, it's one of the faster ones. Especially when scanning documents with multiple pages. At a medium resolution (300x300dpi) and in colour, it takes about 10 seconds on one side and about 11 seconds on both sides (with document feeder).
Colour? Black and white? Simple? Duplex? Document feeder or flatbed? Resolution? It all plays a role....
