How can I disable all external access on this NAS? I need my NAS *ONLY* internally on the LAN - I don't want any gateways for external users and hackers.... how can I achieve that???

With the old WD My Clouds (I think 2016 etc.), it was still possible to completely deactivate access from the internet in the dashboard, even if this meant that the "naming" (cloud) was ad absurbum. However, it seems to me that WD has actually made something out of these things that will end up being inoperable if the service is shut down at some point or if there is no update for device version XYZ
- because - according to the manual - everything only works via permanent coupling & connection to the cloud service at WD, or the manual is - as is so often the case - incomplete and partially incorrect.

According to the instructions and my research, the My Cloud Home Duo unfortunately requires a connection to the Internet:

Your data is protected by the login of the My Cloud account, but a purely local operation is allegedly not possible
