I'm looking for a TV to which I can connect a laptop via USB-C, as I'm used to with a monitor. Is this even possible or do I have to use an HDMI-USBC adapter anyway?

I can't answer that.  But first and foremost it's a TV and not a monitor. It has HDMI connections. So it should work.

I don't know if there is such a TV, this TV doesn't have a USB-C port, just normal HDMI ports. Apparently there are other people with the same question:
