Hello together I am thinking of buying an Epson SureColor SC-P900. One question I have not been able to answer is how long do the ink cartridges last? I am aware that it depends on how much you print and in what size. Has anyone had any experience? Thank you very much for your answer. :)

I used to have the 3800 printer, the predecessor, and can compare the ink consumption very well. The P900 uses massively more ink, which Epson disguises because only an inaccurate bar level is displayed compared to the previous exact percentage. The cartridges still contain a good half as much ink. After set-up, all levels are at about 30%. This was only enough for ten A2 colour prints because the Lightgrey was empty. With the 3800 you could still print at least 5 prints in A2 with 5%. With 30% I printed large series without a thought of urgent reordering.

Unfortunately, there are hardly any alternatives. The corresponding Canon flushes you into ruin.

Strangely, cartridge replacement is a hassle. Digitec only has 7 of the 10 cartridges in stock, others don't even carry them.
