Hello, I need your swarm knowledge: Until now, I've been getting my internet via a SIM card (Lebara), which I plug into my 5G wifi router. It has always worked wonderfully. Now I've moved house and live in a dead zone. I don't get much coverage, but it's not enough for work. Will this device help me get better reception? Do I need any additional plans? Or cables/plugs? Many thanks for your reply.

It's not a device, it's just a directional antenna. If you are in Switzerland, you can find the locations of the 5G masts on the geoportal: https://www.bakom.admin.ch/bakom...

The antenna must then be aligned +/- to this mobile phone mast on the outside of the building (even if you have no direct visual contact) and permanently mounted.

It definitely helps with bandwidth and stability. If you really don't have any line of sight and you only have reception at all due to reflections, I would recommend an outdoor omni antenna.

The other thing is that not all 5G routers are the same, there are many different frequency bands and routers that do MIMO multiplexing and those that do not. Certain routers can use up to 4 bands simultaneously, etc. But I'm not an expert on this either.

The MikroTik Routeur Chateau LTE 5G R16 Wifi ac 5 ports Gigabit can do pretty much everything :-)

The aerial has worked very well for me. Reception has improved massively. However, I no longer need it as we got a glass connection a week ago. I would therefore be prepared to sell my aerial. If you are interested, please call 076 315 60 47.

You need to find the location of the mobile phone system that gives you the best reception. Then point the XPOL exactly there.
You don't need a plan, but you do need to connect your router to the antenna with the appropriate plugs/adapters.
Best regards (also from a dead zone)
