Question about WD Elements Portable

Hello, I have a problem with my WD external hard drive. It stopped working overnight. It is always plugged into my PC, I never move it. It has not suffered any physical damage. It has never been dropped. I tried to recover it using CMD and Linux, but nothing works. When I plug it into my PC and start it up, it causes everything to crash until I unplug it so that my PC can continue running normally. I don't know if you can help me. Thank you very much in advance.
