Hello, I bought this MP3 player for my audio books. It makes a nice impression in advance. What really bothers me is that the operating system deducts more than 1GB from 8GB. The audio books I want to have on it are a bit more than 7GB and I can't get them on there. Can the operating system be minimised? I can't fit more than these audio books on it. Thank you very much for your feedback.
Yes, this question is justified, I also think the device must be returned, but the packaging no longer supports this.
in principle, an old mobile phone would also serve for this purpose, I am currently testing this out
should have asked better before
I don't know why such products still exist, wouldn't it be better to use a smartphone instead of such an exotic device? Not only would you have more memory, but you could also choose from hundreds of programmes to find one that meets your needs for audio book playback, but it can also do it directly without additional programmes. A very cheap smartphone would also be a GPS :). You don't have to use a SIM card and you can also connect headphones. A good choice would be the Redmi 9c, for example, which has 32 GB of memory and can use more memory with MicroSD cards. The huge 5000 mAh battery also ensures very long runtimes:
Xiaomi Redmi 9C (32 GB, Twilight Blue, 6.53 ", Dual SIM, 13 Mpx, 4G, 3G, 2G)
I would return the Sony device and buy the smartphone, it's not a super high-end and top fast model, but as a media player for audio books it's much better suited.
