Question about Epson EcoTank ET-2856

i had problems with the nozzles... i don't know if it was from the beginning... i made the mistake and only printed b/w in the beginning (because i only needed those... then after many months coloured and then yellow didn't work... started cleaning... then more nozzles spun... in the end i had to do the power cleaning (https://download4.epson.biz/sec_pubs...) unfortunately it uses a lot of ink "This function affects the life of the ink pads.If you perform this function, the ink pad capacity will be exhausted earlier.when the ink pads reach the end of their service life, contact Epson customer service to replace them."

so remember to print in colour when printing... i haven't had a problem since then

In contrast to various ink cartridge printers, I can fully support the EcoTank principle. Its bigger brother, the ET-4750, has been in constant use in the shop since summer 2021 and we've never had to replace the ink pad. The same device is only used very sporadically by my mum, and I've never had any problems with dried-out ink. The ET-2856 has been in use at my mother-in-law's for six months, where I've had to use the power cleaning function once (probably because it's so warm in the study). All in all, everything speaks in favour of EcoTank, I would definitely prefer this printer to a cartridge printer.

I've had the printer for two years and only need it sporadically - about 2-5 prints a week, but sometimes no printing for 2 weeks. I have never had to refill the tanks since I bought it and the prints are still flawless. Photo printing on photo paper also gives valid results. I can highly recommend the printer.

I can't say whether I can recommend the printer for 'per month (10-15 prints)'. However, I may only need the printer for 3-4 pages per week. In general, the printer is used very little and ink drying out is not a topic. It has now been in use for 1/2 year and the nozzles have only been cleaned twice. Greetings Peti
