Hello Community I have a question about the HP M283fdw Color LaserJet Pro. In idle mode the power button flashes constantly, is this normal.

This fits like this. You can set how long the printer should remain in sleep mode before it switches off completely (=light goes out completely).

Yes, this indicates that the printer is in sleep mode and waiting for a print job. If the button were not flashing, it would not be possible to tell from the outside whether the printer is now switched on or in sleep mode.
