Hello Unfortunately, I can't find out anywhere what the requirements or limits are for the HDs that can be installed. Specifically: what is the maximum size of each HD? How large can the total installed memory be across all 4 HDs? Are there any other requirements? Thanks and greetings Roger

Hello Roger
You can find a compatibility list on qnap.com. A 16 TB hard disk from Seagate is also listed there. I think you should not reach the limits with common hard disk sizes.

Hello Swissmicit, just because there is a 16TB listed does not mean that 4x16TB hard drives support the QNAP. Rather, you should look at the maximum capacity, which is (I must admit) difficult to find out from QNAP.

I own 3 of them and still don't know the maximum capacity.

I assume that it is a MAXIMUM of 16TB, i.e. 4x4TB in a BAY of 4.

The manual and the website don't really give much information. Sometimes you can find something in the technical data, but not for all QNAPs.
