Question about Samsung 870 QVO

I use the SSD in a UGreen enclosure that was recommended for it (USB 3.2) and switch between iMac and MBP, works wonderfully.

The Samsung SSD 870 QVO SATA III 2.5 inch - 8 TB MZ-77Q8T0BW is an SSD that is only intended for installation. As an external solution, we can recommend the Samsung Portable T5 or T7/Touch. Take a look at the Samsung website under the tab "Computer" and "Portable SSD". There you can use filters to find a suitable PSSD.

If you simply need archive or backup storage and don't need the external storage for active work, a ready-to-use external hard drive may make more sense, as speed isn't as important then:
