You can ground the mat by attaching the metal clipper to a metal rod. Put the blue band around your wrist and attach the metal clipper to a piece of metal as well. This should ensure that you are optimally earthed and do not pass on any electrostatic charges to the equipment. Important: Do not wear woollen clothing and, if possible, no metal jewellery.
