Is this Gen5 version the one that supports Raspberry Pi4 or not? There are 3 variants of the Gen5 and the first does not support it (see article: https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/controllers/)

Answer

I have this setup in a VM with passthru and it works great with HA. If I recall only the older Pi's had issues I thought. Anyways not 100% sure since I dont use Raspberry.
