The Aeotec Z-Stick Generation 5 is a self-sustaining Z-Wave USB software key with a button to create a remote network (independent of external power and host microprocessor). When connected with a host processor, it becomes a Z-Wave communication device, which Zensys API (SerialAPI) exempts by integrated USB. This device is primarily designed to allow host processors to control up to 232 Z-Wave devices. In addition, ves simplifies the installation of a Z-Wave network.
