Hello Rschaer12. That's a good question you ask! I use the SSD myself for my Mac mini (Late 2014, 1.4 GHz, i5) - works flawlessly and super fast until today! Gave my iMac 27" Mid 2011 a second life. It can get extremely warm. But I think that's normal so far.
