Can the basic functions (switching on and off, changing HDMI inputs) still be carried out with the Logitech Harmony remote control (infrared)? I keep reading that the LG Magic Remote communicates with the TV via Bluetooth and not via IR. I know that the pointer function cannot be used with another remote control.

The 1 answer is correct, the TV has both interfaces, you will certainly be able to connect the Logitech Harmony with the correct codes. Personally, I don't have one, but this remote control only makes sense if several devices are always used at the same time to switch on or off. In my opinion, the LG Magic Remote is one of the best remote controls currently available.
The sub-functions of the individual devices can usually only really be selected with the original remote control.

Yes, this is possible, or you can also control IR devices with the Magic Remote, because the TV also has an IR transmitter/receiver in addition to Bluetooth (at least with my OledE9).

As a result, I hardly ever need my Harmony, but yes, with the Harmony you can control an LG TV via IR. Just download the codes from the Logitech database.
