Can I plug the MicroConnect RJ45 adapter into the wall socket and then connect 2 PCs?

Unfortunately not. Connecting the MicroConnect RJ45 adapter to the wall socket and then connecting 2 PCs does not work.
Only one PC has access to the network. That does nothing. With a crossed cable it didn't work either. Tested both plugs of the adapter.
