It won't work like that. This cable is designed to use a headphone (3-pin jack) and a microphone (3-pin jack) on a combi-jack port (4-pin jack). For example, you can use a headset with 2 plugs on your smartphone (combination jack port).

I don't think so, one is for headphones and the other for microphones.
