Question about ASUS GeForce ROG STRIX RTX 3080 10G Gaming
Are 2 6plus 2 pin power connectors enough? I was running 2 gtx 1080 before, so a rtx 3080 should have enough power, right? On the specs it says 3 times 8pin,that confuses me a bit....
Merci for the answer! I saw that Zotac and Gigabyte operate 3080s with 2 ports. This is of course more practical for most users...
You should use all 3 connectors and if possible use at least 2 different connectors (power supply side).
The card COULD theoretically work with 2 connectors (depending on how ASUS has designed the power supply), but I would definitely not recommend it. There will be reviews about if and how the 3rd power source affects the performance or if 2 plugs are even enough once the Graca is sold.
