I'd check with 1 Cat6a (SFTP) and 1 Cat7 SFTP cable, if there is any noticable diffrence in performance (i doubt it), between NAS and Device.
But there will be only 1GB (minus overhead, Diskperformance and NAS-Performance and switchperformance) of traffic on the 1GB-Side per port and device at best... you will never see the full "Spec" performance, but you can go near it - question is,
Not at a single IP pipe. In this scenario, the summary Throughput of all connected devices could bee as high, as the 10Gb connection could work. That speed depends on the effective quality of the 10Gb adapters. Do not use the original Synology adapter, use a compatible Intel-Adapter for best performance values. Measue with parkdale.
