@ Digitec Galaxus AG Please record the correct warranty period of 5 years. And while you're at it, the transfer rate of 750 MB/s is unfortunately not quite right either ;-) Would be a dream for an HDD, but it's only 285 MB/s. Thanks a lot :-)
...Digitec Galaxus already gives a 5-year guarantee, but only with an extra charge, see "Guarantee services". Which is nothing but a rip-off when the manufacturer gives a 5-year guarantee anyway! That's a bottomless impertinence from Digitec Galaxus.
In the meantime (August 2022), the warranty has been officially changed to "5 years bring-in" at no extra charge.
A delivery in March contained 2 of 2 hard drives for which Seagate _no longer_ offered a 5-year warranty, Galaxus support explained on request that only a 2-year warranty is granted by Galaxus. The hard drives were returned. If OEM hard drives are sold, the item description should indicate that Seagate does not offer a 5-year warranty for these.
