Nice videos, but full of bugs. To be avoided.
After several months of use, I am quite dissatisfied with this product.
Certainly, it is a very clear improvement since the GoPro 4: The camera is now completely waterproof (tested and approved) and has a digital stabilizer more than pleasant. The videos are of exceptional quality for the size of the camera.
However, there are several downsides:
- To use a mounting system, you have to use the camera cage (supplied with the camera) which is of poor quality.
- The quality of the photos taken with the GoPro is deplorable. Very largely inferior to a current mobile phone...
- This camera is full of bugs! One time out of 10, it doesn't record anymore and stays stuck. Sometimes it restarts, sometimes you have to take it out of its case to remove and put the battery back in... Updating the firmware does not change anything.
- Corrupts SD cards. Very regularly, I have to take the SD card out of my GoPro to transfer the videos using an external reader, then format the card. Otherwise, I can't transfer videos from my GoPro.
For these reasons, I clearly do not recommend this product.
