The DS2208 automatically recognizes handheld and presentation mode by simply placing it in or removing it from the presentation stand. The multifunctional area imager is ready to use straight out of the box thanks to comprehensive pre-configuration – just unpack and go! The connection cable (available in USB, RS-232, KBW, or IBM) is automatically detected by the DS2208 through Auto-Host-Detect upon connection, requiring no further settings. With Zebra's free remote software "SMS" (Scanner Management Service), you can manage and configure the DS2208 and many other models worldwide from a PC, smartphone, or tablet.
