Wirewin® Category 6A patch cables meet the specifications according to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2, allowing for data transmission of up to 10 GBit/s. The Category 6A is specified with a frequency of 500 MHz. The cable for these patch cables is double-shielded. Each pair is enclosed in its own foil shielding, which is further covered by a braided shield. This construction is often referred to as PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) or S/FTP. The sheath of these cables is made from halogen-free material, making them flame-retardant. Yellow Category 6A RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts are surrounded by a special Wirewin® strain relief sleeve to protect the connector while allowing for easy insertion. A length marking is located on the underside of the sleeve. All Wirewin® KAT6A patch cables come equipped with this feature.
